Nestled on Level 1 of the Te Papa Museum, this cafe offers a delightful dining experience amidst a pleasant atmosphere. The wide range of offerings on the menu ensures there is something for everyone, making it a perfect spot for brunch on a Saturday morning! The cafe's counter is laden with a variety of nice food options, particularly their extensive selection of sandwiches which are both fresh and really flavorful. However, the standout dish that I highly recommend is their 'Thai beef salad' and 'Falafel salad'. They are my favorites - incredibly delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors (Not small, not large, just the perfect size). However, I have to admit that their fries left something to be desired. I found them lacking in crunchiness, which is a key factor for me when it comes to enjoying fries. Perhaps a slightly longer fry time or a different cut could enhance their texture without losing their good flavor. So, while they're decent fries that complement the meal well, there's definitely room for improvement in achieving that perfect crunchiness. In addition to the tasty food, two of the highlights are their chai latte and flat white, which I often ask with coconut milk. Their texture are always right, making them a comforting and perfect choice to complement any meal. The prices are very affordable, offering great value for the quality of food and beverages provided. The staff are another highlight, being consistently friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall pleasant dining experience. After enjoying a satisfying brunch, there's a lovely shop next to the café where you can browse unique items (a bit expensive item though). Additionally, the Te Papa Museum itself offers free exhibitions that are definitely worth a visit if you have the time.

Large spacious eatery with a very broad range of food and drink options to please any mood. Menu prices are reasonable for Wellington standard. Very well kept and clean with strong wifi and friendly staff. Gets very busy during peak hours, e.g. big tourist seasons, school holidays, weekends. Only wish it had a cosier decor seems cold and echoey.

A good option when you are spending a day at the Te Papa. We just beat the lunch rush by a few minutes and were served with in a few minutes of being seated. We ordered fish burger with fries (chef's special for that day), pasta and coffee. All of them were good. My little one got entertained by some ducks and ducklings in the outside seating area. And they have coloring paper and pencils right at the entrance, that kept him busy for a while. Overall, we had a good experience.

My daughter enjoyed the mini Iced Mocha 4.50 and we shared the delicious Pasta of the Day 22 although the pasta has not much ingredients. We would prefer it come with more bacon and mushrooms and bigger portion please.
